A collection of items designed to provide a sensory approach to cultural awareness. The book describes a visit to a powwow, or Native American celebration, where American Indian families get together to enjoy traditional food, music, dancing, and crafts.

1 book (30 p. : ill.), 1 Powwow banner, 4 rubber stamps depicting Native American pictographs: chief, deer, rain cloud and bear tracks, 1 rubber drum, 1 pair of Native American dancing bells, 2 plastic bones (pieces for a guessing game), 4 tubes of colored sand: one tube each of blue, black, red and white sand, 1 guide.

OISE is lacking the 4 rubber stamps depicting Native American pictographs: chief, deer, rain cloud and bear tracks, and one 1 rubber drum.
