Your Body for Life is an interactive, multimedia kit that teaches students about how food affects their bodies and the importance of healthy food choices. Your Body for Life uses information about the five senses to address food choices and perception. Nutrition is explored through the relationship between different nutrient groups and the body’s growth and energy levels. Your Body for Life contains two teacher guides. Let’s be Sense-able is a guide for exploring the five senses, and Food Power addresses nutrition and the body. Both come with background information, activity sheets, and discussion questions. Also included are a set of five finger puppets representing the senses, a food group chart with reusable stickers of foods, a sense-based game, and a food and health picture book. The kit also contains multimedia film strips and cassettes, providing introductory information and songs.
