Idea Factory, gears & pulleys: the hands-on exhibit you can build at home

This open-activity kit encourages learning and experimenting with the fundamentals of building pulleys, belts, vertical to horizontal gear configurations, and much more. Designed to engage children in the process of discovery through creative play and hands-on exploration, the activity book guides students through eight activities with thought-provoking questions to stimulate ideas about gears, pulleys, and belts. Each activity includes a “Here’s Why” section with a more in-depth explanation of the scientific principle being explored.
